Egypt solicits Nigeria’s support

According to All Africa Global Media

Egypt Ambassador to Nigeria Mr. Ashraf Abdel-Qader Salama is soliciting Nigeria’s support to create the appropriate impression of the crisis in his home country.

The Ambassador made the call during a meeting with Senior Adviser to President Jonathan on External Affairs Ambassador Thavidius Dan Hart, where he applauded the historical relationship between Nigeria and Egypt.

Salama said “there is the need to retrieve those relationships through Nigeria’s support for the Egyptian efforts to clarify the real image of the events in Egypt to the African Union.” The envoy also explained that progress has been made by Egyptian government after the June 30 revolution.

He also met with Vice President Arch. Nmadi Sambo where explained that what happened in Egypt was not a military coup but a popular revolution after the Egyptian people realized the deterioration of their country during the reign of the ousted president
